The country plans to merge all existing ticket reservation and sales systems into one common electronic service. The decree also defines the participants of this system, its owner and operator — the communal unitary enterprise "Stolichny Transport i Svyaz" (Capital Transport and Communications) will become it. In addition, the decree outlines the sources of funding for the creation and further functioning of this system.
The creation of the system will take place through the integration of various services, including those used for international bus transportation.
The platform is planned to be implemented on the basis of the state digital system "Smart City," and funding will be provided by the innovation fund of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
The main purpose of the new system is the ability to book seats, sell tickets and baggage receipts for suburban, intercity, and international bus transportation. It is emphasized that the implementation of this system should not lead to an increase in costs for passenger terminals and carriers, which means ticket prices should also not increase.
It is expected that the introduction of such a system will make the sphere of passenger transportation more transparent, allow for better analysis of passenger flow, and enable prompt decision-making to improve routes. In addition, passengers will be able to receive up-to-date information about the schedules of various bus carriers and choose the most convenient travel routes.
