Iranian commanders were the target.

This morning, March 8, Israeli aviation struck the "Ramada" hotel in the capital of Lebanon. According to preliminary data from the country's Ministry of Health, at least four people were killed and ten more were injured.
The IDF officially confirmed the attack, stating that the targets were high-ranking commanders of the elite Iranian "Quds" force (part of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps). The Israeli side claims that these officers were coordinating terrorist attacks against Israel.
The "Ramada" hotel is located in a densely populated area of Beirut.
It is reported that the building housed not only guests but also numerous displaced people from southern Lebanon who were fleeing hostilities. Panic erupted after the explosion: people massively evacuated the hotel, fearing repeated strikes.
