This refers to the 1744 edition, printed in Vilnius. It is a translation of the Statute into Polish.
The exact purchase price is not disclosed, and there is no information about transactions involving the Statute on the Sotheby's auction house website. However, by way of example, it can be mentioned that in January 2023, an 1811 edition, printed by the Senate Printing House in Saint Petersburg, was sold on the One bid platform. That lot was estimated at 1065—1278 euros, writes Office Life.
Sula Grand Duchy Park, where the book will be kept, is a tourist and educational complex dedicated to the history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. It already houses a collection of rare editions and artifacts. Specifically, Zapolsky previously acquired and brought to Belarus Kazimierz Siemienowicz's 1650 book "The Great Art of Artillery" – one of the most famous military treatises of its time.
