Two types of sparrows live in Belarus — the field sparrow and the house sparrow. But these birds have as many as three "forms," writes the Telegram channel "Wildlife nearby".

The field sparrow has a brown "cap" and a black spot on its cheek. Males and females are colored identically.

The male house sparrow has a gray "cap". There is no spot on its cheek.

However, the female house sparrow resembles neither the field sparrow nor the male house sparrow.
In general, field sparrows and house sparrows have different biotopes: field sparrows stay in grass, while house sparrows live among concrete and asphalt.
