Russian individual entrepreneur who moved to Slonim declared "social parasite" in Belarus
In her TikTok, Russian woman Hanna Troshyna shares how well her online business allows her to live in Belarus. But unexpectedly, she encountered surprises from local laws.

The blogger herself is from Sakhalin; she moved to Belarus with her family in 2024 — first to Grodno, and then settled in Slonim. It was in this city that the woman bought a house.
Hanna Troshyna is involved in network marketing and sells various dietary supplements from the Siberian Wellness company.
Recently, the Russian woman went to the employment service in Slonim to try and convince them that she is not actually a "social parasite" in Belarus. She brought documents showing that she is registered as an individual entrepreneur (IE) in Russia.
— I don't understand the difference. Those who work in Russia under an employment contract are not considered "social parasites." But individual entrepreneurs are.
On the spot, Hanna tries to explain to the employment service employee that she pays taxes and makes insurance contributions.
— I have one option to make my contribution to the economy of Belarus — to open self-employment here. That's it. So I don't have to pay triple utility bills.
Previously, Hanna was surprised that when her daughter went to a Belarusian kindergarten, a teacher came to their home for an inspection — to see what conditions the child lived in. And she informed them that the family was obliged to install fire alarms.
In her homeland, the Russian woman had never encountered such a thing. But she heard something intriguing from the teacher: "Live longer — you'll learn a lot of interesting things."
Hanna was also surprised by the cost of dental services — although, as she emphasizes, she herself is from a region where everything is quite expensive. She heard a lot about Belarus having cheap dentistry and many people coming here to get their teeth done. For the extraction of two milk teeth for her daughter, the blogger paid 266 rubles — which was not a very pleasant surprise for her.
But overall, the Russian TikToker is satisfied with Belarus and praises the country very highly.

Ага, в ЕС приезжают и даже из Америки, потому что в сравнении с их там заработками тут у нас не дорого, а качество услуг не хуже. То что у нас стоит 266 руб РБ, в ЕС будет стоить 266 евро, вот и едут к нам, но в основном наши граждане, живущие у Европе.
