Połackija Łabirynty publishing house has released a book of memoirs by Ivonka Survila, Chairwoman of the BNR Rada, titled "At Eight Years Old, I Was at War", writes bellit.info.

The book "At Eight Years Old, I Was at War" contains memories of the fear and pain experienced by the eight-year-old girl Ivonka as she left Belarus with her family in 1944. Today, the Chairwoman of the BNR Rada calls those ten months the most dangerous. It is a story of escape between life and death, as well as a tale of the boundless love of parents for their children, who together endure the war.
Aleksey Fedarenka, Siarhiej Padsasonny, and Krzysztof Żebrowski worked on the translation of the book.
The book's release is timed to coincide with Ivonka Survila's 90th birthday.
The book is available for purchase on Allegro.
