A 16-year-old teenager drowned in Rogachev district — he fell through the ice

On Saturday afternoon, the boy left home for a usual walk. When he didn't return by nightfall, his relatives raised the alarm.

As reported by Gomel rescuers on water, the boy, born in 2010, left home for a walk on Saturday afternoon but did not return. Worried relatives contacted the rescue service, after which a search began.

Late at night, MES employees found a hole in the artificial reservoir in the agro-town of Balotnya. The boy's body was found at a depth of about 3 meters, at a distance of 15–20 m from the shore.
