Two-Year-Old Girl Almost Drowned Near Grodno

In the Grodno district, a mother rescued her little daughter who almost drowned. The incident occurred on March 28 in the village of Belichany.

The woman came to her dacha with her child. Stepping out of the house into the yard, she saw that the girl (born in 2024) was lying in a small artificial pond (measuring 1.5 by 1.5 meters and up to half a meter deep) — face down in the water, with no signs of life.

The mother immediately pulled the child out and began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). When the girl started breathing, she drove her to the hospital herself.

Thanks to the mother's quick and decisive actions, the child was saved. The girl is currently in the intensive care unit of the Grodno Regional Children's Hospital.
