The 50-year-old driver reported this to his 62-year-old manager, who was responsible for safety. The manager, instead of sending the transport to the bus depot for repair, ordered him to fix the malfunction himself.
The driver did not object and undertook the repair during working hours near his home. He jacked up the bus, placed wooden supports, and climbed under the vehicle. However, the structure did not hold, and the heavy bus collapsed, pinning the man.
As a result, the victim sustained serious injuries, but his life is now out of danger.
During the inspection, it was revealed that the driver was not authorized to perform such work — he had not undergone the necessary training and instruction. He himself confirmed that he acted on the instructions of the manager, who also allowed him to keep the service bus in the yard of his house.
A criminal case was initiated against the 62-year-old mechanical engineer for violating labor protection rules, which led to severe bodily injuries.
