According to the new resolution, the state is increasing the funding for the maintenance of children in state institutions. Food expenses will increase by approximately 15%, and funds for clothing, footwear, educational materials, and other necessary items — by 5%. Also, expenses for medicines and medical products are now officially included in state provision.
The changes also affected children raised in family-type orphanages. Payments for them are increasing:
- the main monthly allowance — by approximately 10%;
- a one-time payment for young children (up to 3 years old) — by 5%;
- compensation for telephone and utility services — most significantly, by 22%.
In addition, the norms for food expenses for children in educational institutions are slightly increasing (by an average of 5%).
Along with the increase in state expenditures, the amounts that parents are obliged to compensate if their children are under state care will also increase. Failure to make such payments is subject to responsibility — from forced labor to restriction or deprivation of liberty.
