The leader of the "Tisza" party, the winner of the parliamentary elections in Hungary, Péter Magyar, during a meeting with President Tamás Sulyok in Budapest, stated that the head of state must leave his post, Bloomberg reports .

Magyar stated that he is "morally unfit" for the position.
"I repeat once again: President Tamás Sulyok must resign after the government is formed," Magyar said upon arriving at the meeting in the presidential palace in Buda Castle.
At the meeting, Sulyok tasked Magyar with forming a government.
Tamás Sulyok has been President of Hungary since March 2024, following the resignation of Katalin Novák. Prior to this, he headed the Constitutional Court for eight years.
