Infant died immediately after birth in Baranavichy

As reported by the Investigative Committee, on April 20, an 18-year-old girl sought medical attention at a hospital with signs that she had already given birth. After this, police officers went to where she lived and found the body of an infant with bodily injuries in a package.

Investigators are currently clarifying all the details of what happened: reconstructing the sequence of events, the conditions in which the girl was, and the possible causes of the tragedy.

An investigative and operational group worked at the scene: they conducted an inspection, recorded all traces, interviewed witnesses, and appointed examinations to precisely determine the cause of death.
