Director of meat processing plant took a bribe of almost 9 thousand euros "for loyalty"

The General Prosecutor's Office referred a criminal case to court against the head of one of the large meat processing plants in Brest region and the director of a private company.

According to the investigation, from April 2024 to April 2025, the head of the meat processing plant allegedly received more than 8.8 thousand euros from the entrepreneur in several installments. The money was transferred during business trips to Minsk and Moscow — in hotels and restaurants.

Investigators claim that these funds were a "reward for loyalty": for concluding contracts for the supply of food additives to the state enterprise, timely payments, and general cooperation.

The property of the accused, worth more than 200 thousand rubles, has been seized. The head of the meat processing plant is in custody, while the representative of the private company is under recognizance not to leave and proper conduct.
