"Not in demand." Belarusian-language menu removed from the famous Mon Nom cafe in Traktarny
Previously, the Belarusian-language menu was one of the establishment's features in the "house with mermaids".

However, when one of the visitors recently went to the Mon Nom cafe at Traktarny Plant and, following an old tradition, asked the waiter for a Belarusian-language menu, she was told that "it was removed a long time ago."
The reason for its disappearance, according to employees, is related to its lack of demand.
"Previously, there was a demand for the Belarusian-language menu, so we printed it in Russian, English, and Belarusian. In recent times, no one has asked us for a Belarusian-language menu, so we no longer serve it," the cafe staff explained.
At the same time, in the past, waiters would bring menus in the native language just by hearing visitors speak it — there was no need to even ask for it.
In 2023, Mon Nom bistro also opened in Warsaw (and another one in 2025). In the Warsaw counterpart of the cafe today, menus are offered in Belarusian, Polish, Ukrainian, and English.
