King Charles III has visited the USA on state visits three times in his life. The first two times he came as the Prince of Wales, i.e., heir to the throne, and now — as king.
He first met with a US president in 1970. Then he was hosted by Richard Nixon in the White House.
The second meeting in the Oval Office took place in 2015, when Barack Obama was the head of the USA.
Now, in 2026, Charles III has already met with Donald Trump during another visit.
British media compared photos from all three meetings and noted how the interior of the White House's main office has changed over more than half a century.

The King's current visit began on April 27 in Washington. His American program also includes New York and Virginia. During the trip, he has already addressed both chambers of the US Senate and called on them to continue supporting Ukraine.
After concluding his visit to the USA, Charles III plans to visit the Bermuda Islands in the Caribbean. He will, incidentally, become the first British monarch to personally visit this overseas territory of Great Britain.
