"Kalev III" met "Noova" in a match of the South/East zone of Estonia's Second League B. Litmanen came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute when "Kalev" was leading 7:3. The Finn intercepted an opponent's pass and in the 81st minute scored a goal against "Noova" from approximately 30 meters. "Kalev" won the match 8:3, reports Postimees.
Litmanen's sons also participated in the match — 20-year-old Caro Litmanen and 18-year-old Bruno. Caro Litmanen scored two goals — in the 27th and 60th minutes of the match. The younger Litmanen played the entire match.
This spring, Jari Litmanen was registered with Kalev's third team.
Litmanen is the top scorer in the history of the Finnish national football team. He has been named Finnish Footballer of the Year nine times. For the national team, Litmanen played 137 matches and scored 32 goals — both figures are national records.
He played for a number of Finnish clubs, as well as Ajax, Barcelona, Liverpool, Malmö, and Fulham.
While playing for Ajax, he became the top scorer of the UEFA Champions League 1994–1995. His professional career ended in 2011 at Finnish HJK.
