The road traffic accident occurred on June 22 at about 13:45 on the 13th kilometer of the Minsk — Dzyarzhynsk highway, near the agricultural town of Shchomyslitsa, Minsk district, as reported by the State Automobile Inspectorate of Minsk Region.
The driver of a Hyundai Solaris car, born in 1947, was driving from Minsk in the middle lane. While changing lanes to the far right lane to turn right, he failed to yield and collided with a MAZ truck with a semi-trailer, which was moving in the same direction in the right lane.
As a result of the collision, the semi-trailer with a tanker, which contained 26 tons of cement, overturned onto the roadway.
Due to the incident, two out of three traffic lanes were blocked on this section of the road.
The passenger of the car, a woman born in 1949, was taken to the hospital for examination.
