When will the new road in Kalyadichi and Hatava be launched? News has emerged

The launch of the new route will allow for the removal of truck traffic from the Minsk Ring Road (MKAD), which is critically important for safety and traffic decongestion, especially during the challenging winter period.

Traffic on the new road, which will connect two major suburbs of Minsk, will be launched by the end of the year. This was announced by Vladimir Latushkin, General Director of the Road and Bridge Construction and Improvement Department of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

— The construction of an access road connecting Kalyadichi and Hatava village is one of the most important infrastructure projects for the capital. We plan to launch traffic on it by the end of the year. The new road will significantly relieve the MKAD. This is especially important before the winter period. Practice shows that it is at this time of year that trucks cause the most inconvenience on the MKAD, — Vladimir Latushkin reported.

Construction work on the new road began 4 months ago, Realt reminds. Despite the fact that about 100 companies (transport, logistics, and warehouse enterprises) operate in the Kalyadichi industrial hub, this major industrial and logistics hub did not have a direct exit to MKAD-2 until now. Therefore, heavy trucks had to bypass via the ring road.

The new road is expected to solve this problem. It will provide direct communication between Kalyadichi and Hatava, allow cargo transport to reach MKAD-2 faster, and partially decongest the ring road.

Construction of the new road, connecting the Kalyadichi industrial hub and Hatava agrotown, is ongoing seven days a week.

The total length of the new road will be approximately 6.2 km. The road will start from Babushkina Street, run along the railway, and exit into Hatava agrotown onto road H9034.

It is planned to be a two-lane road with a reinforced shoulder that cyclists will be able to use. In addition, the road will feature four bus stops and a rest area.
