All participants of the Champions League main round have been determined

The draw is today.

All participants of the main round of the football Champions League have been determined. 36 teams will take part in it.

29 clubs qualified for the main round in advance based on the results of national championships. These are PSG, Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Inter, Napoli, Roma, Como, Barcelona, Real, Atletico, Villarreal, Betis, Bayern, Borussia Dortmund, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Lens, Lille, PSV, Feyenoord. Porto. Sporting. Club Brugge, Slavia Prague, Galatasaray, Shakhtar.

Seven teams made it through the qualification rounds. These are Azerbaijani "Sabah", Norwegian "Bodø/Glimt" and "Viking", Austrian LASK, Greek AEK, Turkish "Fenerbahçe", Slovak "Slovan".

36 clubs will participate in the main round. For the third year in a row, the main round is held under a new system. There is no longer a division into groups. Each team gets eight random opponents of different strengths, two from each pot.

The draw will take place today at 7 PM.

Matches start on September 8-10 and finish in January.

The eight best teams automatically qualify for the 1/8 finals, while clubs ranked 9th to 24th in the overall table play in the playoff stage.

"ML Vitebsk" started this year in the first qualifying round of the Champions League, immediately lost to Romanian "Universitatea" from Craiova, dropped into the Conference League qualification, where they were eliminated in the third round. No Belarusian club again reached the main stage of European competitions.
