Furniture assembler Aliaksei Sanchuk was one of the participants of the project "We Demand to Disperse". Together with others, he assembled a drum kit that set the rhythm at marches and yard protests. It was for those drums that Lukashenka's regime took revenge.

In 2020, Aliaksei was not the worst of us, as he was given six years in a penal colony when few others were given such a long sentence. He served six years – as of today, this is the longest among all prisoners from 2020. He was 29 then, now he is 35.
Upon his release, Aliaksei was forced to seek help.
"Now we are in Georgia with our whole family – me, my wife, and our 13-year-old daughter. We hoped to move to Poland quickly, but waiting for humanitarian visas can take up to 8 months. After six years in prison, we have no financial cushion that would allow us to live comfortably for several more months. We need a minimum for basic family expenses, food, medicine until we get to Poland," he writes.
