Five employees of the Russian House in Berlin, which German authorities decided to close, have arrived in Belarus. This was reported by TASS in the press service of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in our country.
"Employees of the Russian House in Berlin, who left Germany due to the authorities' decision to close the Russian institution, have arrived in Belarus. At the international checkpoint "Brest" [on the border with Poland], the colleagues were met by the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in the Republic of Belarus, Yury Makushin," the representative office said.
They noted that the employees of the Russian House expressed joy at arriving in Belarus.
On September 1, Germany announced the closure of the Russian consulate in Bonn and the "Russian House" in Berlin. This was stated after Russia was accused of involvement in an incident at Leipzig Airport, where explosives were found.
The incident, which became the direct reason for such actions, occurred on August 4 at Leipzig Airport. According to German media, several drones may have been involved in an attempted attack on a Ukrainian An-124 cargo plane. One drone with explosives was found near the Ukrainian cargo planes, and another reportedly crashed into a DHL cargo plane.
