Forecaster Dmitry Ryabov told on the air of the ONT TV channel what, according to the preliminary forecast, the weather will be like in Belarus in October 2026.
According to data from global forecasting centers, the month may turn out to be slightly warmer than usual. The average temperature is expected to be 1-2 degrees higher than the climatic norm for mid-Belarusian autumn. At the same time, temperatures will differ by regions: on average from +5 degrees in the northeast to +8 in the southwest of the country.
In mid-October, a short period of Indian summer is possible — with sunny weather and relatively warm days. However, it will not last long. Atlantic cyclones will bring changeable weather: warm and clear days will quickly be replaced by cloudy and rainy ones.
Few sunny hours are predicted for October — from 80 to 100 for the entire month.
The amount of precipitation, according to the forecast, will be close to normal. On average, 11 to 16 rainy days are expected.
In the third decade of October, the weather will become more autumnal: mixed precipitation will begin — rain will alternate with wet snow. On some days, weak icing phenomena are possible. Thus, by the end of the month, it may already get noticeably colder in Belarus and the first snow may appear.
