Lift broke down at Berlin Radio Tower. People stuck on observation deck at the very top — 126 meters high
They remained there until late into the night, and there was even talk of distributing parachutes to them.

Last night, the lift broke down at the historic Berlin Radio Tower, which celebrated its hundredth anniversary this year. There were people at the top: 15 people in the restaurant and 6 on the observation deck at a height of 126 meters, writes Genau.
People from the lower-located restaurant (55 meters) were brought down the stairs (one person, with limited mobility, even on a special evacuation chair).
However, there were problems with the observation deck — they considered bringing in a special crane and almost distributed parachutes to the people.
Closer to night, however, two people managed to descend via the fire escape. And then the lift was successfully restarted, and it brought the remaining people to the ground at a snail's pace.
