Kadyrov Became an Army General

This is the highest military rank in Russia.

Rosgvardia Director Viktor Zolotov presented the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, with army general shoulder boards and a crimson beret, TASS reports.

Zolotov stated that the rank of army general was conferred upon Kadyrov by Vladimir Putin, and he, Zolotov, was instructed to "convey" this decree to Kadyrov and present him with the shoulder boards.

"But that's not all. Three days ago, we celebrated another anniversary of the creation of departmental special forces, where the tradition of presenting the crimson beret originated. And as a token of gratitude... it was decided to present Army General Kadyrov with this most important symbol," Zolotov added.
