From October 1, 2026, the list of documents has changed for those applying for a tourist visa to Portugal through the Slovak visa center, reports VFS Global.
To confirm accommodation, it is now necessary to submit the original hotel voucher with the signature and stamp of its representative.
Reservations made through Booking.com and other online platforms or third-party reservation services will not be accepted as proof of accommodation.
The presence of an original voucher with the signature and stamp of the hotel representative is a mandatory condition. If such a document is missing or does not meet the established requirements, the acceptance of documents may be refused.
Applicants are advised to take these changes into account when preparing documents for a visa application.
