In 2022, Mavashi founded the "Northern Man" movement. He called it an ethnic association for uniting Russian people. The movement has a clear xenophobic and anti-immigrant orientation. The organization operates with the support of security forces and local Russian authorities.
After the start of the full-scale invasion, Mavashi publicly supported the war against Ukraine and raised money for Russian servicemen. In Ukraine, he was sentenced in absentia to eight years in prison for financing aggression.
Mavashi gained widespread fame around the 2010s as a performer of so-called "healthy lifestyle rap" and "bar workout music." His tracks promoted giving up alcohol and smoking and engaging in sports.

Media report that Mavashi may have committed suicide by shooting himself with a firearm. It is known that the man sustained the injury at his home, an ambulance was called for him, he was taken to intensive care, but they could not save him.
