Home-based employment accounts for 1.4% of all employed workers in the country. Of those who work from home, 75% are women.

Such data is provided by Belstat based on last year's results. It turns out that if in 2025 there were 4 million 163.3 thousand employed people in Belarus, then approximately 58.3 thousand people worked from home.
Typically, home-based workers include pedagogical staff, accountants, advertising specialists, translators, psychologists, artists, hairdressers, bakers, and seamstresses. Their average age is 40 years. Furthermore, 41% of such workers have higher education.
Another 0.8% (or 33.3 thousand people) of all workers in the country have a remote form of employment. This category includes the IT sector, professional and scientific activities, trade, and education. Incidentally, in this form of employment, every second worker is a man.
Finally, 0.5% of all workers (or 20.8 thousand people) belong to platform employment. This refers to taxi services, sales of goods, the IT sector, education, legal and tourism services, delivery, and household services. The majority of those working through digital platforms are men (63%).
