Cranes are not in a hurry to leave Belarus — they are delayed by at least two weeks PHOTOS
Grey cranes, which usually leave Belarus by October 15, have been delayed this year until almost the end of the month. On October 24, the birds were still in the country. They were photographed by the renowned wildlife photography master Sergei Plytkevich, reports the "Smartpress" publication.

In autumn, Belarus serves as an intermediate stop for cranes flying south from Russia. However, this year the usual migration schedule has changed: the birds have been delayed by almost two weeks longer than usual.

Observers believe that such a late encounter with cranes could be a record. However, there is no confirmed information yet that this is an absolute record.
