The horrific image of Shani Louk circled the world: on October 7, 2023, she lay in the back of a truck surrounded by Hamas terrorists. The German-Israeli citizen died at just 22 years old when she attended the Supernova music festival near the Gaza Strip border.

On October 20, the Israel Defense Forces announced that they had carried out an airstrike in Jabalia in the Gaza Strip and killed a Hamas terrorist named Tamer Mohammad Ibrahim al-Zabaq, writes BILD. It is believed that he kidnapped Shani Louk during the mass massacre on October 7, 2023.
Later, al-Zabaq organized attacks on Israeli soldiers and attempted to restore Hamas's terrorist infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army stated.
In October 2023, footage circulated showing Hamas terrorists transporting Shani Louk's partially naked body in the back of a pickup truck through the streets of the Gaza Strip.
In May 2024, Israeli soldiers found the girl's remains during an operation in the Gaza Strip and brought them to Israel for burial.

“She was a very lively child and from an early age had her own ideas about life,” her mother Ricarda Louk recently said. “She was open to the world, sewed her own clothes and stated early on that she wanted to be an artist and wasn't interested in school. She was very friendly, sweet, and cheerful and immediately attracted attention.”
Most recently, at the end of September, the Israeli army reported the killing of another kidnapper. This referred to a Hamas supporter who transported Israeli citizen Noa Argamani on a motorcycle into the Gaza Strip. She was later successfully rescued.
