The monument was planned to be placed on Lenin Street, near the veterans' council building. But the townspeople, having seen the project, sharply criticized the work. In the comments, the sculpture was called "crude," "unfinished," and some even expressed the opinion that it was made by someone without skills. It was also mentioned that the work "lacked soul."
As a result, 68.4% of participants in the vote opposed the installation of the monument. The authorities of Troitsk stated that they would take into account the results of the survey during further work on urban space improvement.
