A Mak.by fast-food restaurant started operating in Baranovichi on Wednesday.

It became the 28th restaurant in the chain and the first to open in a district center, Realt.by writes.
Mak.by was built in the city center — at Sovetskaya, 96.

The restaurant is implemented in a format specially developed for regional cities. It is equipped with all the main Mak.by technologies: self-service kiosks, digital menu boards, separated order reception and delivery zones, as well as a system for preparing orders for each guest.

Mak.Drive is also operational.

The new Mak.by has created 68 jobs, of which 43 employees are residents of Baranovichi. The company focuses on attracting local specialists and plans that by 2026, all restaurant staff will be formed from city residents.
The first guests of the new restaurant were pupils from four family-type orphanages in Baranovichi.

Mak.by replaced "McDonald's," which operated in Belarus since 1996 and closed on November 22, 2022. Initially, it was expected that the Russian brand "Vkusno — i tochka" (Delicious — and that's it) would open in its place, but this did not happen. For about half a year, the restaurants effectively operated without a name: visitors were only greeted by a sign saying "We are open." The new name appeared in April 2023. And in 2024, Mak.by was acquired by the Belarusian company "Quality Food."
