A 36-year-old Minsk resident has two children – a 17-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son. She is currently pregnant with her third child. The family first came to the attention of the guardianship and trusteeship authorities of the Soviet District administration back in 2022: social investigations were conducted twice regarding the mother's alcohol consumption, scandals with her cohabitant, and leaving children unattended. In January 2023, it was decided that the brother and sister were in a socially dangerous situation, writes "Minsk-Novosti".
Soon after, the family began changing residences – they lived in rented apartments for several months, then left without paying. In February 2025, the mother left her young son in the college dormitory where her daughter studies, and disappeared for several days. Dormitory staff looked after the child.
In September, the intoxicated mother and her son, dressed inappropriately for the weather, were found at a public transport stop in the city center. She stated that they had nowhere to go.
It is known that the Minsk resident had been administratively liable for attempted petty theft and had a criminal record for malicious hooliganism. The unfavorable family environment and conflictual relationship with her mother negatively affected the psychological state of the elder daughter – in late 2024, the teenager made two suicide attempts.
The children were removed – the girl lives in a college dormitory, and her brother is in a social and pedagogical center with a shelter. The mother was employed as a waitress, but she constantly skipped work without reason.
In addition, she demanded money from her daughter, which the latter receives from the state as a child on state support. The girl repeatedly gave her cash. The negligent mother accumulated debts – for housing rent, child support, and also has unpaid loans and fines.
The Department of Education of the Soviet District Administration filed a lawsuit with the court to strip the Minsk resident of her parental rights. She opposed it, once again promising to improve, but the court granted the demands stated in the lawsuit.
