Belarusian blogger and nutritionist Iryna Yablonskaya is trying to find a wife for her friend's son via Threads.
«A Belarusian, lives in the USA, Boca Raton, 32 years old, height 180 cm, weight 90 kg. Has his own business, his own house. From a very good family. Hardworking, not spoiled, with a good character. I've known him since childhood. Was in a relationship. Wants a family and children,» — she describes the groom.
Iryna emphasizes: that Belarusian from the USA fundamentally wants to find a wife specifically from his homeland. The blogger suggested to all interested girls aged 25-32 to publish their photo and a short story about themselves in her comments. She promises that her friend's son will write to those he likes. And if anything, he'll fly to Belarus to meet.
In less than a day, the post garnered 150 thousand views and sparked an active discussion. One of the most popular comments reads: «You're asking girls to post their photos under the post, but you're not publishing a photo of the candidate himself. This seems like an unequal choice.»
Iryna explains the absence of a photo of the businessman from the USA by saying that he is very modest. And to those who are surprised why a 32-year-old man is looking for a wife through his mother's friend, she replies: the businessman is very busy and doesn't have enough time for his personal life.
Someone tries to hint to the blogger: «32 years old, has everything. Handsome, smart. Iryna, I really love you, but there are clearly problems there.» But she doesn't give up and says that the only problem is that there are no Belarusian women in the USA, and that young man doesn't want to build a relationship with an American.

But among the jokes, there are also real photos of Belarusian girls who are not bothered by the unknown groom.

Iryna Yablonskaya (formerly Kabasakal) was previously the editor of Pingouin magazine. In 2011, her commissioned article about entrepreneur Zurab Arudzhev became widely known. To this day, everyone remembers him as «divine Zurab». The level of praise in that text was so over-the-top that it turned the young man into a living meme. Later, Iryna, who was finishing medical university, decided to develop in this field and started working as a nutritionist.
By the way, in 2023, blogger and wife of former footballer Sviatlana Hleb tried to find a bride for her nephew Andrey Sakharau via her Instagram.
She promised that she would personally choose 5 candidates for her beloved relative's heart. It was assumed that the young man himself would only see the girls selected by his aunt during a romantic date (Sviatlana also intended to take care of their organization).
