The well-known human rights defender had been behind bars since October 2022. She was sentenced to seven years in a penal colony.

The representative of the international human rights organization Human Constanta was detained on October 28, 2022. Initially, she was sentenced to 15 days of arrest for alleged "petty hooliganism" (Art. 19.1 of the Administrative Code), after which the activist was re-detained three more times for the same term under similar protocols.
In late December, the human rights defender was transferred to a pre-trial detention center and charged under Articles 342 and 130 of the Criminal Code ("Organization or participation in actions that grossly violate public order" and "Incitement of racial, national, religious, or other social hatred").
According to the prosecution, one of Loika's human rights reports from 2018, which concerned the persecution of the anarchist community in Belarus, contained a negative assessment of the illegal actions of police officers. This became the basis for initiating a criminal case.
The court, which took place in June 2023 behind closed doors, sentenced the human rights defender to 7 years of imprisonment in a penal colony under general regime conditions. Nasta did not plead guilty. She served her term in women's penal colony No. 4 in Gomel. In July 2025, it became known that the imprisoned woman was placed in a cell-type room (PKT) for 6 months.
When Nasta was arrested, her dog Erik remained at home. Nasta's friends took Erik abroad. Now this beautiful mongrel, resembling a German Shepherd, lives in the Czech Republic.
The future human rights defender was born on January 6, 1989, in Minsk. She is a graduate of the BSU Law College, later studied at the BSU Faculty of Law, and received a Master's degree in International and European Law.
Loika worked for eight years at the public reception office of the Human Rights Center "Viasna" and was one of the co-founders of the organization Human Constanta (liquidated by the authorities in the summer of 2021).
She became one of the first human rights defenders in Belarus to systematically address the rights of migrants and asylum seekers, and also worked with people without a permanent place of residence. In addition to her main activities, she was a long-time volunteer at a dog shelter.
In 2020, Nasta decided to refrain from direct participation in protest actions and work in initiative groups, to fully concentrate on human rights protection.
The first time the woman was detained was in August 2021. After 72 hours at Akrestsina, she was released with the status of a suspect in a criminal case related to the activities of "Viasna." At that time, she signed a non-departure undertaking.
On September 6, 2022, after attending a court hearing in the "Revolutionary Action" case, the activist was twice convicted of "petty hooliganism," and she spent 30 days in a detention center. Upon her release, Nasta learned that the Investigative Committee had closed the criminal case against her.
Three weeks after her release, on October 28, 2022, the human rights defender was detained again, after which she did not regain her freedom until the moment of her release.
