According to sources from the "Belsat" TV channel, the director of the Scientific and Production Center for Unmanned Systems, Yury Yatsyna, was fired in Minsk. The company itself did not confirm this information, but also refused to connect with the director.

It is claimed that the decision to dismiss him might have been made by the leadership of the National Academy of Sciences. This reportedly happened during the center director's report, after which he was allegedly informed that his services were no longer needed. However, Yatsyna was allowed to work until the end of February.
"Belsat" interlocutors claim that there had previously been serious complaints against the center's management, including regarding reporting, documentation, and team management. According to them, this could have led to financial difficulties at the enterprise.
During an attempt to clarify the situation, the TV channel's journalists were unable to reach Yatsyna by phone — his work number did not answer. Alexander Shchavliov, Deputy Director for Scientific Work, who was reached, stated that the head was allegedly in a meeting and not constantly at work. He also noted that it was difficult to schedule an appointment with the director, and generally:
"It's all the same. Tomorrow there's a director, the day after tomorrow there isn't. I'll be the director... You'll talk to me."
Overall, according to sources, the situation at the enterprise remains tense, and the issue of the center's leadership and further development does not yet appear to be definitively resolved.
The Scientific and Production Center for Unmanned Systems was established in 2016 within the structure of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and is engaged in the development and production of unmanned aerial systems. Its tasks include creating new models of equipment, developing exports, and enhancing the country's defense capabilities.
Yury Yatsyna is known as a developer of a number of Belarusian drones. Previously, models used in the military and demonstrated at international exhibitions were reported. However, in recent years, according to various assessments, questions have arisen regarding the mass production and competitiveness of Belarusian technology.
