This year, an experiment with electronic sick leaves will be launched
Minister of Labour and Social Protection Andrei Labovich announced an experiment on the introduction of electronic sick leaves at the final board meeting of the department, reports BelTA.

According to Andrei Labovich, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection will conduct an experiment in 2026 on the introduction of electronic sick leaves together with the healthcare system.
At the first stage, the digital format will only apply to sick leave certificates for pregnancy and childbirth. The Minister stated that the results of the experiment will allow a decision to be made on the further implementation of the practice at the national level.
Labovich also noted the high level of digitalization of the Ministry of Labour system, which includes more than 18 information resources. He called the department's task the transition to a proactive work format with maximum use of available state information resources.
The head of the department is confident that this will significantly simplify for citizens the process of obtaining certificates and documents necessary for the appointment of pensions, benefits, and payment of sick leaves.
