Bobruisk fishermen discovered a strange ice hole on the Berezina River near the river port, with an ice auger lying next to it, writes fishingby.com.
According to members of the Viber group "Fishing is our everything! Bobruisk," one of the local fishermen might have fallen through the ice at this spot on Sunday.
But, apparently, he managed to get out, and the ice fishing enthusiast left the ice auger due to his unenviable situation and unwillingness to return to the dangerous spot again.
"There are two options... Either-or... There is serious depth at this place. Judging by the absence of a fishing box, the fisherman, apparently, didn't care about the auger anymore. Most likely, he got away," suggested the group administrator.
Most Belarusian fishermen have already closed the winter fishing season, but there are still desperate ice fishing enthusiasts willing to risk their lives for a couple of roaches or perches. In some cases, such risk leads to tragic consequences.
