In Kapyĺ district, a freight train fatally hit a pensioner

On March 3, on the Timkavichy — Klyetsk railway section in Kapyĺ district, a freight train traveling on the Slutsk — Baranavichy route fatally injured a 79-year-old local resident, reported the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.

According to preliminary information, the man was walking directly on the railway tracks without observing personal safety requirements.

The train driver gave sound signals, but the pedestrian did not react to them.
