The verdict for a resident of Svetlahorsk, detained after returning to Belarus, has been announced
Human rights defenders from "Gomel Spring" reported that Hleb Panasiuk, a resident of Svetlahorsk, has been sentenced to five years of imprisonment in a penal colony.

Hleb Panasiuk
34-year-old Panasiuk had been living in Poland for the past few years. On October 8 last year, he returned to Belarus to visit his parents. The next day he made contact for the last time — he called friends from the train station in Brest and said he was going to take a train home. After that, communication with him was lost, and friends began searching.
In December, it became known that the man was in pre-trial detention center No. 3 in Homiel. Prior to this, he was held in a temporary detention facility after an administrative arrest.
It is known that the persecution of Hleb Panasiuk is politically motivated, but the essence of the charges against him, for which such a harsh sentence was passed, remains unknown to this day.
