On the night of Sunday, March 8, an explosion occurred on the territory of the American embassy in the capital of Norway. The incident happened around 1 AM.
According to the Norwegian police, the epicenter of the explosion was at the entrance to the consular section of the diplomatic complex.
Witnesses reported that immediately after the loud explosion, a pillar of smoke rose over the embassy territory.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.
The area around the diplomatic mission has been cordoned off, and forensic experts and bomb disposal technicians are working there.
There are no official versions regarding the causes of the incident yet.
