In Malaysia, a man has as many as 42 teeth. This is a world record
33-year-old Malaysian resident Prathab Muniyandi has set an unusual world record: he has 42 teeth in his mouth, which is ten more than the average person, who usually has 32. This fact has been confirmed and entered into the Guinness World Records book.

The man himself did not suspect his peculiarity for a long time. This became known in 2021 during a family conversation, when he joked that he might have more teeth. His relatives counted 38, and after an X-ray examination, it turned out that four more teeth had not yet erupted. In early 2023, dentists officially confirmed that he has a total of 42 teeth. Most of them grow straight and do not cause problems.

Prathab Muniyandi works as an engineer in the oil and gas industry and is raising a son. According to him, people usually don't notice anything unusual until he tells them about his record. When they learn that he has ten more teeth than the norm, they are very surprised and often don't believe it at first.

The extra teeth do not hinder him in daily life. The man meticulously cares for his oral cavity: he brushes his teeth twice a day and uses dental floss. He notes that he is proud of his achievement and calls the realization that you are a world record holder a special feeling.
Among women, the resident of India, Kalpana Balan, has the most teeth — she has 38 teeth.
