Co-chair of the "Alternative for Germany" party, Alice Weidel, against the backdrop of the conflict in the Middle East, demanded the abolition of CO2 taxes, an end to subsidies for wind and solar energy, and a return to nuclear energy, writes Bild.
She also called for negotiations with Russia on resuming energy supplies: "Neither the global economy nor Germany can, in the tense situation in the Persian Gulf, long afford to forgo the purchase of raw materials and energy from Russia."
