Sales of goods with Belarusian motifs strongly increased on Wildberries

Wildberries marketplace analysts recorded a sharp increase in demand among Belarusians this summer for goods with national motifs — cornflowers, ears of grain, ornaments, etc. This was reported to "MP" by the company's press service.

Cornflowers and Ears of Grain Became One of the Main Hits of the Summer

One of the most noticeable trends was dishes and kitchen utensils with folklore designs. Belarusians began to buy plates, cups, trays, tea sets, and other kitchenware in ethnic style more often.

Bowls and salad bowls with images of cornflowers and ears of grain showed particularly impressive dynamics. This summer, their sales increased 28 times compared to last year.

National themes significantly added to popularity in the home textile category as well. Bed linen with images of Belarusian landscapes was bought 18 times more often, and pillowcases with ornaments and duvet covers with traditional patterns — seven times more often.

Tablecloths with linen lace and bedspreads with folk motifs also showed good dynamics.

Figures and statuettes with folk motifs began to be bought 662% more often. For buyers, such items are becoming not just home decorations, but a way to add a piece of Belarusian culture to the interior.

A separate trend this season is goods for handicrafts.

Sales of fabrics for handicrafts with national prints increased by 1350%, and molds and stencils for creativity with Belarusian motifs — by 300%.

National motifs are also noticeable in clothing. Sales of sweatshirts with embroidery and ornaments increased by 1050%, and T-shirts with Belarusian symbols and thematic prints — by 660%.

Buyers also choose trousers, skirts, sundresses, and blouses with elements of national costume, children's clothing with Belarusian patterns, and various accessories with national themes.

Wildberries analysts note that Belarusians have become more interested in books about the country's culture, crafts, and nature. Calendars with Belarusian landscapes, diaries and notebooks with national symbols, stickers, and stationery with ornaments are appearing in shopping carts.

Demand also increased for certain products and children's goods. Sales of baby products with Belarusian motifs increased by 1300%, and gift sets of Belarusian cosmetics — by 100%.
