An unusual feathered city dweller was spotted in the Sovetsky district of Minsk. It was captured by Threads user Darya, writes Blizko.by.
The photo shows a grown-up gull chick learning to fly and exploring the world outside the nest. At this age, they often come down to the ground, where their parents continue to watch and feed them.
Passers-by gave it water, after which the chick went on to explore the world further.
It is best not to touch a chick without extreme necessity — its gull parents can be very aggressive. If the fledgling is injured, it is better to contact volunteers who know how to handle wild animals.
It is also worth protecting the chick from pets (dogs, cats) and busy roads, as city chicks often get run over by cars.
