A representative of the central headquarters of Iran's Armed Forces, "Hazrat Khatam al-Anbiya," also stated that Iran has regained military control over the Strait of Hormuz.
According to him, this is due to the Americans "continuing to engage in piracy and maritime brigandage under the guise of the so-called blockade."
"For this reason, control over the Strait of Hormuz has returned to its previous state, and this strategic strait is under strict management and control of the armed forces," the statement reads.
Meanwhile, several oil tankers turned around in the Persian Gulf after attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
This refers to at least six vessels, including Greek and Indian tankers, which were moving towards Hormuz from areas near Dubai. All of them were loaded with oil, but on Saturday morning, April 18, they began to change course.
