Hunting for other hoofed animals – deer, moose, and roe deer – is also growing in the country. This is linked to the fact that they are increasingly bred on hunting farms.
Separately, wild boar hunting is mentioned, which is supported by the state as part of a sanitary policy through a system of payments. The number of this species shot has varied greatly in recent years but increased again in 2025.
Also in Belarus, the level of wolf culling is very high – in fact, almost equal to their total population. At the same time, about 18% of the deer population is shot.
In parallel, the area of hunting grounds is increasing, which amounted to 17.3 million hectares in 2025. Most of them are in the Vitebsk and Minsk regions.
The income of hunting farms in 2025 amounted to 52.6 million rubles, the main part of which comes from the sale of permits and hunting licenses.
