Gunshot wound.

Sergei Tur, head of the Department for Organization of Anti-Epizootic and Quarantine Measures of the Novosibirsk Region Veterinary Department, was found dead. He was found in his own car with a gunshot wound, reports "Siberian Express".
According to one version from law enforcement, it could be a suicide. Shortly before the incident, checks began regarding the department.
Tur's wife stated that his "heart failed" and linked his death to work: "He died yesterday, his heart failed. This is related to his work, directly related to it. Great moral and physical strain, great responsibility." Due to his wife's words, the headline was changed.
Tur is survived by two children.
The Veterinary Department, in particular, was responsible for restrictions in the region's districts, introduced in the spring of 2026 due to animal disease, which led to the mass culling of animals, including those in private farms.
Cases of seizing animals from people have gained widespread public attention in Russia.
