Melnikaite Street in the city center of Minsk will be closed for two years. This was announced by Vasily Kasavets, General Director of "Minskmetrobud", as reported by Blizko.by. Through traffic will be closed as early as the beginning of June.

This is necessary for the dismantling of two tunnel boring complexes and the construction of a connecting junction with the existing metro line.
"Within a month, a corresponding decision will be prepared, then we will start working on this section," noted Vasily Kasavets.
At the same time, despite the closure of through traffic, access to courtyards will remain available for local residents.
