Belarusian Wanted by Interpol Detained in Poland

In the Polish city of Gdynia, police conducted a check on a group of foreigners who were in an abandoned building. The reason was that they were lighting a fire and behaving suspiciously, which caused alarm among people.

At the scene, police identified four men. One of them, a 46-year-old citizen of Belarus, did not have identification documents, so he was additionally checked against databases.

It turned out that he had previously been denied the right to stay in Poland. In addition, he was on an international wanted list — he was sought by Interpol for location purposes.

The man was detained. In the near future, he will be handed over to the border guard, after which he will be expelled from Polish territory.
