Warm weather played a cruel joke on the residents of several villages in Dzyarzhynsk district. Their plots were massively attacked by weevils. One TikTok user said that the problem affected the settlements of Dabrynёva, Rechki, and Skvartsy, writes Tochka.by.

“This is how every morning begins. You go and collect these weevils, because they literally cover everything — you can't enter or leave the house,” complained the Belarusian woman, demonstrating her “harvest” of weevils and the scale of the disaster.
These creatures, weevils, have arrived, crawling out of the ground and starting to devour everything they can: strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, flowers, dogs, cats. People are shocked by the scale, by these insects that cannot be eradicated. What to use, what preparations to get rid of them? It's a nightmare when they fly into the house, cover everything, climb the walls, and after a while fly further. It's simply awful when these weevils cover the house. They "don't fly into the house", but crawl inside after the fields they came from were treated. What to do.?
According to her, the pests covered the walls of houses and crawled inside after nearby fields were treated. The weevils are now attacking strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and flowers.
The woman notes that store-bought preparations against weevils proved ineffective. The owners of the fields from which the insects came simply shrug their shoulders and recommend dealing with the problem independently.

By the way, there are several dozen species of weevils in our latitudes. Agrotechnical methods, folk remedies (infusions of mustard, wormwood, planting onions and garlic), biopreparations like "Phytoverm" or chemicals ("Aktara", "Karbofos"), which are applied before flowering or after harvest, are used against them.
